This wintery scene of Imado Bridge and Matsuchi Hill is by Japanese print designer Utagawa Hiroshige II.

Hiroshige II was one of the most successful students of the great print artist Hiroshige I. He continued the landscape style pioneered by his master, creating many series of landscape prints.

Nice thread of remote volunteer opportunities
My first thought is Scarleteen: www.scarleteen.com/contribute They always need volunteers and you can do it at home! They are currently not doing intake and background checks etc, but keep an eye on that page for when they open again.
Pitch in
Contribute to everything we do by participating in our community, sharing our work, volunteering with us or donating to keep us going.

Jon here is on the Board of Supervisors here in Johnson County. He caught a fucking boatload of shit after refusing to put flags at half mast after a certain assassination last year. Recommend y'all read his thread about these loons.

I'm going to take a moment to circle back to the C Kirk imbroglio. I felt it was a line that needed to be drawn and vigorously defended. Vocally and forcefully.

But at a cost. I paid the toll because I have said and believe if my privilege is a bank account, I want it overdrawn when I go.
We underestimate how impactful harassment and threats of violence are on politicians. Clear, large uptick in the number of major incumbent politicians not running/retiring specifically due to harassments and threats of violence. The harassers are like 0.1% of the population but hugely impactful.

Nobody talks about the more mundane parts of game dev.

For example, this morning I'm tweaking how often the sheep bleat to find the right balance between "these sheep feel alive" and "this is incredibly annoying."

And what if the player hoards sheep??

Ice sucks! Help me raise money for good things.

1. Donate to an immigrant rights org like www.ilcm.org
2. Send me a picture of the receipt. Every $5 is an entry.

I knit these mittens and I will draw a name on 1/17/26 and send these to the winner. We’ve already raised $165! Can we make it to $300?
