I still remember sitting and waiting for my lighting class to start at Full Sail in 2008 and watching this on my laptop. Absolutely inspiring and an incredible year for films.

People need to calm down. This is such a reasonable way to use AI and they are staunchly against it being used for writing or art in-game.
NEW: I spoke to Larian boss Swen Vincke about their ambitions for their new RPG Divinity, cutting down development time, pressures from Baldur's Gate 3, why BG3 wouldn't have happened without Tencent, how Larian uses generative AI, and much more www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

@davechen.bsky.social I don’t remember you mentioning Stranger Things on the Filmcast over the years, but was surprised that DecodingTV hasn’t covered a single episode.

My guess is you strongly dislike the show, but it seems like a rather large cultural event to not even touch on. Any future plans?

Netflix “meeting audiences where they are” and shortening the theatrical window is not Netflix’s fault, it’s theaters. Disgusting theaters with faulty projectors and letting people talk and play on their phones led to this.

@alamodrafthouse.bsky.social is the only one out here doing it right.

FRODO: There's nothing…Wait. There are markings. It's some form of Elvish. I can't read it.

GANDALF: There are few who can. The language is that of Mordor, which I will not utter here. In the common tongue it says, "Light the lamp, not the rat."

a) this fucking sucks, wtf Apple?

b) anybody got the link avail, the one about how to remove this?
Not satisfied with just destroying their own brand goodwill, OS companies are now using AI to try to destroy the good names of the apps users install. (Scrivener taking out adds to explain how it has no AI but Apple adds some anyway.)
