This seems cruel to make an octopus play piano for its food just to prove you can teach it to "play". Humans are cruel to animals, just let them live in their environment and enjoy life.

I shouldn’t have to share this article as much as I do. Sending condolences to all friends and family and loved ones from the Brown Shooting today.

The lack of U.S. gun laws has created a violence epidemic unlike anywhere else on Earth. This is domestic errorism

Why can't we just raise the minimum wage, like double it for any corporation making double digit profits?
This is ridiculous.
How to put the horse back in the barn seems to be an important question right now.
The imbalance is unsustainable!
#TaxTheRich is such an empty solution, but it would be a start.

All they do is lie. No actual numbers shown.
🧵Nope. Nope. Nope.

Fossil fuels create climate change and wreck habitats where they are extracted. Renewable energy does not.
Doug Burgum lies that renewable energy is "worse for the planet, worse for the environment, and it drives up your electric prices"

These ideas are good reasons to re-evaluate one's relation to organized religion. I became Jewish because I like having a social and communal component to my moral life. Its allowed me to revise my sense of morality on my terms. I'm a humanitarian first.

How many did he supposedly do to end up with form this poor?

The recklessness of this article was not discussed enough, so I made a video about it covering many choices the writer made to fluff RFK Jr up and sanewash his positions, with a shout out to the outright lies and incorrect science.

I am still going to watch the games because its a great sport and I support the players and the coaches and the countries that put their heart and soul into this competition- but FIFA top brass, I have to ask-what were you thinking?? Cringy.....super embarrassing...Gross display.
I love soccer and I remember each World Cup with great intensity and always so much look forward to the next. But FIFA that was disgusting, even more disgusting than usual, and now I just can’t. And won’t.

This is why I moved away from Christianity 30 years ago. I am not responsible for changing these people's hypocrisy and I do not want to be associated with it in the least either.
Over on the Facebook, you can bet that whether it's ICE brutalizing immigrant toddlers, or the US military mass-murdering civilians in international waters, every person cheering it on makes sure that you know they are a "Christian" in their profile. Every. Single. One.

World Cup is every 4 years, so 100% chance this is a one-off.
Better than 50% chance there is no FIFA Peace Prize next year and this was a one-off to make the orange toddler happy.

How are "career women" looking for "government" as a substitute for a family/marriage exactly??? Career women by definition are taking care of themselves, right?
A New York single mom, career-driven, tax-paying, politically savvy. NYC women run councils, agencies, whole neighborhoods. We’re not taking advice from a “CEO” who inherited the title through her husband. Erika, babe, you’re a single mom. #Pink #Momsky
Erika Kirk claims liberal women don’t get married, bc they rely on the gov to provide for them.

Lady.. who told you that?

If we somehow end up with JD/Erika ticket…

Seems like a prize FIFA made up for this ocassion and will discontinue in 4 years time. This is "greasing the wheels" for a smooth tournament at US venues.
... I thought this was parody at first.

But it's not :(

FIFA Peace Prize?

What a joke.

I'm surprised that Gianni Infantino didn't throw up all over Trump when he was forced to say:

"This is what we want from a leader... you definitely deserve the first FIFA Peace Prize."

My GOD, this was SO awkward!!!!
Trump increased U.S. military spending to record levels.

He bombed Iran without approval from Congress.

He's launched deadly air strikes on fishing boats in the Caribbean — while presenting no evidence to back up allegations of drug smuggling.

"The peace president."

Nobody wants the old 1970's station wagon. Nobody. My god, how out of touch is this guy!! The minivan is way better for families, but even then, what the heck is wrong with this guy.
I grew up in California in 1970s. The air was brown and stinky and gave me headaches. A lot of people had asthma and low grade lead poisoning. I left at 19 in large part to get away from the toxic air.

I live in California now and the sky is clear and it's easy to breathe.

I don't want to go back.
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

The article gives no comment from anyone on why the bill was vetoed. What is the Newsome camp saying? Terrible journalism.
Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry slammed California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) for vetoing bipartisan legislation to increase menopause-related care and coverage within the state for the second year in a row — an action she said should disqualify him from being the next president.

We need a new law that says politicians can not put their names on anything, no buildings, no laws, no checks or rebates. Nothing. Until they retire. Then they an have a library and a foundation and nothing else.

We’re showing Aotearoa (well…the North Island) to some friends visiting from the USA. Today we’re in Rotorua, and we visited the Redwoods here.
