This is Luke Farritor. He is the 23 year old that fired all the staff in charge of our nuclear arsenal.
Don't worry, though. He completed an internship with SpaceX, so I'm sure he is clearly qualified to determine whether our nuclear arms should be adequately staffed by qualified persons. 🤯🤯🤯

NARA had 2800 employees & roughly 300 probationary. Plus, some senior exec staff have been pushed out & others took the deferred resignation and/or have opted to retire. If we assume all probies were let go & don’t account for the others, then that is about 10.7% of employees gone in a single day.
Update to add: it’s a very rough estimate, but the purge equates to roughly 10% of NARA’s staff. The JFK Museum closed today because they don’t have enough people to operate it. The National Personnel Records Center is also likely suffering. Not good for our veterans.

The National Archives & Records Administration let go (fired) most of their probationary employees today. Those let go incl. veterans, some close to their 1 year, & individuals who picked up their lives & moved across multiple states. NARA researcher services will be harshly impacted. #nara #purged
