Every year my dad and older sister make separate green bean casseroles, one with fresh frozen green beans, homemade mushroom soup etc, and the other directly from cans into oven. They do not speak during this process except to be passive aggressive about the other’s casserole

The New York Times, where the popular mayor-elect of their city is a fringe figure, but the QAnon podcaster who asked him a racist question comes out as a "winner"

This newspaper hates its readers as much as Republicans hate their voters. And if you're still supporting either, you deserve it.
What a strange framing and characterization. How does one describe his blatantly dishonest, racist question about taxes as “press[ing] the Mayor-elect on his policy proposals”? In what way does this lying troll emerge as a “winner“?

On this day in Labor History the year was 1909. That was the day that a young garment worker by the name of Clara Lemlich made a speech that would have a resounding impact on the labor movement in New York City. Lemlich was at a union meeting, where she sat listening to men discuss whether garment workers should call a general strike. Finally she asked to speak.

"The Attorney General of the United States has set a new low for this committee," Whitehouse said.

Shouldn't doing what Pam Bondi is accusing James Comey of doing be a scandal that would make her have to resign? In her case it's is easily proven that she lied to the committee.
