“Tomb Raider” became “Tomba Raider”

“Onimusha” became “Oni Masher”

“Halo” became “Hallow”

And *most* people couldn’t properly pronounce “melee” so “Smash Brothers Melee” became “Smash Brothers ‘MaLee’”.
