For my Patreon, I wrote about Jamie Reed, the infamous anti-trans "whistleblower" who is now claiming she is a detransitioner because she once got a gay haircut.

He's right, btw. Here's how:

Trans people don't live under the crushing weight of societal constructs, nor do we tend to believe whatever we're told.

Trans people, though all different in their own individual way, are able to see genocide AND call it such. And fascists REALLY fucking hate that.
"Kirchick suggested a link between “radical transgender movements” and anti-Israel attitudes, warning that a society that will believe “that men can become women and women can become men . . . will believe anything.”

We could all do with some wholesome trans content and this had me bawling: here’s the moment where Beth McCarthy gave a trans person a new name at her concert.

1. Great ruling out of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The 9th Circuit has ruled that there is no "first amendment" religious right to discriminate against transgender customers.

At my mammogram today:

Nurse: When was your last period?
Me: *smiling* Yeah, I don’t really get those.
Nurse: Oh, did you have a hysterectomy?
Me: No, I’m trans. It didn’t come factory installed.

(It bears repeating: I don’t do any voice modulation, so I’m usually VERY obviously trans. :D )

I did the same thing (as did many of us) and what’s funny is that the picture I got was so “pie in the sky” for me at the time that I never conceived that it might be well shy of the actual possibility.

That FaceApp picture was my totem through early transition, and it’s so far off the mark. 😄

Writing code is now cheap. especially Temu quality code. Writing good code, that the people who are running the system understand and can support, that's now the challenging part.
Using AI to write code? Easy. Getting that code into production reliably? That's the real challenge.

In the latest edition of DirectorPlus, @charity.wtf breaks down how DevOps needs to evolve for the AI era.

Let’s hear it for flocculents!

(We did a water change on the fish tank and purposefully kicked as much of the silt and crap from behind the rocks into the water column, so that we could drain it off, and then added Seachem Stability to clear it up. This is over the course of about 4 hours.)

Just released memorandum from OPM:

Federal facilities will now have a bathroom ban for transgender people.

It will go into effect on the 31st.

It also has a slew of effects and puts into place the 1st anti-trans EO policies for every agency.

This will have a ton of impacts very quickly.
