Someone should sit the new members of ACIP down and explain what their job is and is not to them in simple terms, and maybe teach them some basic law. Dr. Malone's claims here have several misunderstandings. 1/n

USCIS canceled my client’s naturalization oath ceremony. We filed a lawsuit, went to trial, and the judge swore him in right there in the courtroom!

For years, this dude has believed that stealth planes are literally invisible.
Trump: "The only time anybody could see those planes was when those bomb chutes open up, because it becomes totally un-stealth. You're going in, you go like this. As soon as it goes like this, for some reason the plane is totally visible. Not good. I watched it happening. I watched it go bing bing"

I just don’t see how you could write a headline with no reference to the fact that this ”shake up” is aligning policies to fringe theories over scientific consensus.
A New York Times examination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s tenure as health secretary shows how he has laid the groundwork to overhaul American vaccine policy, walled himself off from government scientists and elevated longtime allies to help carry out his agenda. trib.al/3MsBal8

Major media hate to say Trump “lied.” Here's a thread on what they say instead.
Trump is “inverting the facts” (NYT) …
Because he has a “complicated relationship with the truth” (NBC) …
With a “mix of bullish optimism and hyperbole” (Reuters) …
And is “a master of the art of exaggeration” (AP) …

Whether it's Donald Trump murdering the survivors aboard a sinking boat or Barack Obama wearing a tan suit to a press conference, both presidents engaged in some truly norm-busting behavior.

Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

We come down hard on Sen. Cassidy because he voted for RFK Jr. even though he probably knew better. But I mean come ’on, it’s definitely worse to be a U.S. senator and not know better.
Deja vu, Senator Cassidy

Hard not to suspect that the thing that kept Epstein's documents secret and any actual co-conspirators safe is that every single person who has ever attended an East Coast gala has, at some point or another, sent Epstein an email that was like "SUBJECT: So sorry for the witchhunt against you"

KURT VONNEGUT - born 103yrs ago today - was the only one to respond.

His reply was a doozy.

I want to spell this out in case the implications aren't clear:

This means all public tools/webapps of GISAID data (all the ones you've been used to seeing thru the pandemic, as far as we can tell) are prohibited.

The file allowed this. Cut that - cut off all tools the public & others were using.
On Oct 1, 2025, GISAID informed us that they had ended updates to the flat file of SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequences and associated metadata that we had used to update Nextstrain analyses since Feb 2020. GISAID's stated rationale was that their "resources are limited". 1/5
