The 1892 cholera outbreak should never have happened—they already “had all the tools” to prevent it with public health interventions. Only political forces moved to undermine scientific consensus. History has simply forgotten the lessons from this failure.

Not sure about "more than half", but I am worried that the number may be too many to form the basis of a stable multi-ethnic democracy.
When you see innocent people being sent to a hell hole concentration camp in El Salvador, you are horrified.
But the thing that most people in the USA still don't want to reckon with, is that *more than half* of the white people in the USA see the same exact images, *and like it*.
