january 6th is a day of lies.

republicans lie about what happened.

democrats pretend they didn't waste a 4 year long opportunity to hold trump and everyone else legally responsible for what happened.

they're both being dishonest.

What do these companies have in common?

-Cigna
-Comcast
-General Mills
-Allstate
-Marriott
-Hilton
-Walmart
-Amazon
-Microsoft
-Meta

All promised after January 6, 2021 to stop funding lawmakers who tried to overturn the 2020 election.

And all have broken that promise.

Grammy-winning gospel singer and pastor accused of sexually abusing a young man
Donnie McClurkin denied the allegations in the lawsuit, which was filed by a man who says he sought out the pastor after reading his book about overcoming the “curse” of homosexuality.

I’ve only been using a VPN for the past 3 or 4 years and my main impetus then was streaming TV shows, but it’s actually really crazy just how many websites I can no longer access in the state I live in if I forget to turn it on. This was not the case back then. And it’s horrifying.

Also: sex is good! Masturbation is good! Connecting with your fantasies is good! Having access to authentic sexual expression that you might not have IRL is good!

Sexual repression is bad. Sexual shame is bad. Attempting to control other people’s sexuality is bad.

It’s not that complicated!

Seeing people jump in to argue that we should defend porn b/c they use “porn” to go after other stuff. Yes … AND

“Porn” — explicit representation of sex — is good, in the same way that books are good. Some authors are offensive, but as a whole, it’s good to let people access their sexuality.

Porn and erotica are important and societally valuable forms of speech, and the defense of them, in the face of state and church attempts at repression, is a necessary political act.

how come Republicans suck up to THEIR base but we can't get the Democrats to suck up to us?
Some Democrats hate that their party is largely positioning itself in opposition to the operation that resulted in Maduro's capture.

I wrote about reporters’ refusal to use “act of war,” “invasion” or “coup” when covering Trump’s brazen attacks on Venezuela, instead echoing WH-approved euphemisms, and the broader trend of our press dutifully giving Trump’s lawlessness the vague whiff of international legitimacy when it has none.
