This is weird framing, given that said deal actually strengthens the most important part — by far — of said Trudeau-era climate measures.
Appreciate Councillor Kelly and the Mayor's defense for office to residential conversions. It's been a great way to preserve a lot of heritage sites, and with the versatile floorplates of so many of these offices it's no wonder Calgary's been a national leader in conversions.

We're learning that $129 million in $ for #yyc has been paused due to #yyccc's intention to repeal blanket rezoning. Cllr Dan McLean says he was misled, but requirements are pretty clear. Some form of rezoning is needed. Mayor Farkas should try to replace, not repeal.
