H.A. Sylvester was a Calgarian planner in the early 20th century who convinced Council to effectively outlaw multi-family residential and mixed use buildings for decades to come.

Progressive Liberalism or bust; trying to make heritage and YIMBY work.

failed semi-literate mayoral candidate from the '90s Rick Bell thinks polling on separatism scenarios is hysteria. Sharon's right, Postmedia has their marching orders, and so far Rick's answered the call. Thankfully Don Braid hasn't

Conservatives spent over a decade feeding the insatiable appetite in Alberta for anger and alienation towards Ottawa.

Now, like Jason Kenney, they need to step up and slay the beast they helped create before it does even more damage. #cdnpoli #abpoli

Conservatives built the Alberta separatist movement. Now they have to break it
Former Alberta premier Jason Kenney spent years whipping voters into a frenzy against Ottawa. Now, at least, he's doing something to put out the fire he helped start. Will any of his Conservative coll...

Gnarly two-car collision at Royal Ave and 8 St this past Sunday. RRFBs here would be a great start @natefor8.bsky.social but a full revamp of this intersection would be better. Pedestrian crossing here is dangerous and I've seen too many close calls from cars speeding down the hill.

Calgary is facing some existential challenges and unfortunately, due to mistakes of admin and a failure of leadership across the board, we are not likely to meet those challenges.

Ideology and an outdated growth model are going to further strain resources and our rapidly aging infrastructure.

Carney: The US is now too hostile, too volatile, too untrustworthy to be a reliable partner. We must form new international structures.

Trump: Call me hostile and volatile, will ya? How 'bout some big tariffs that hurt both of us and undo previous talks. Who's unreliable now! Wait, where you going?

I once saw Lombardi muse on X that the US could/should buy Canada in exchange for paying off our national debt. Someone had to explain to him in painfully clear language why that made no sense.

There are actual candidates out there for the OLP, not dilettantes.
