You were incredible, Alice Wong, and it was a blessing to have collaborated with you on projects, to have read your words and to have heard your voice, as full of life and passion and joy and rage as it was.

You made a difference—so much of a difference.

Rest always in peace, and always in power.

I’ve always had this issue with Emerald Fennell. All three of her films look amazing, they have this wonderful potential, and she squanders it all in the silliest, most rich white poshly insulated of ways.

I have finished my course of antibiotics! Very proud of self. Despite the intense and ongoing inability to properly look after myself, I managed that.

😂😂😂 the eighty millions emails and texts Lively just submitted to the court of them explaining every single facet of the smear campaign they orchestrated against her. It could not be more flagrant if Baldoni had sky written I smear campaigned Blake Lively.

I understand why Heathcliff is the most pressing concern in the new WH but damn is Robbie also so miscast lol. And it’s sad because there are so many individual cool images/acting moments in that trailer but then I get slapped back out by Heathcliff is white and Cathy is a blonde 36yr old bombshell.

This. Tbh I don’t even think we’re in the realms of conspiracy theory saying this, anymore. In fact, I think our collective fear of seeming that way is what’s holding so many back from doing something about it.
I hate to be a conspiracy theorist. I completely hate it but the simplest explanation is now absolutely what’s in this thread and pretending it’s not the case is a bit like “both sides” crap - wouldn’t it be nice if that were true so we could all look more mild about things but actually We Are Here.
I think people are missing the point with this Epstein thing.

The question is not did he have sex with underaged girls. He did.

The question is not did he have illegal financial transactions with Epstein. He did.

The question is not did he serve as an asset and agent of Putin. He did.

"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

So far I’ve had Elena Ferrante twice (phew she is DESPERATE to talk to me!), Ann Patchett, Martha Wells, and Frieda whatserface.

The tv show Sugar has one of the weirdest and most hamfisted twists I’ve ever seen in a show. Lol what the hell.

It’s also very boring though so don’t bother with it.

For someone embarrassed by his early work in Kissing Booth, Elordi sure does like taking very intensely romantic/romance/passion focussed roles. It just occurred to me now—Deep North, Swift Horses, Priscilla, Wuthering Heights, Saltburn, Frankenstein…all full of passion and romantic relationships.

Glen Powell saying Colman Domingo is almost uncomfortably handsome only endears him to me further. I feel like people don’t talk enough about how gorgeous he is. And he’s not even just gorgeous like ah yes, a beautiful painting. He’s both that AND the gorgeous that is even more gorgeous in motion.

Megyn Kelly trying to split hairs about what constitutes being a pedo is but one of the reasons I’ve never ever supported saying actually technically it’s ephebophilia. I don’t fucking care you want to molest and abuse children.

Taken baby nephew with us for the first time (usually we take out little nephew once a week) and the place we go to has a soft play area. Baby saw it and immediately kicked his shoes into the stratosphere because he’s used to soft play places where there’s no shoes allowed lol.

I’m so damned proud of myself for filing a claim. And thankful to my agent for spelling out exactly what you need and answering questions.
November 13, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Have started Sugar, starring Colin Farrell, and Such Sharp Teeth by Rachel Harrison. So far the latter is excellent. It may pull me out of my slight reading slump caused by the brilliance of Martha Wells, Maame, and Sky Daddy.

Oh btw I don’t know if I did the filing a claim right, but as long as you look up your books via the claim search books link, it will have the ISBN, and copyright number, which you need for the forms, and you’ll also need: the addresses and emails for your publishers, and your bank details.
