Shocking news, but I'm sadly not surprised 😔

Going to be doing my small bit in my garden this spring to plant bumblebee friendly plants 🌸
It’s official, 2024 was the worst year for bumblebees since records began🚨

The latest findings from #BeeWalk, our national bumblebee monitoring scheme, have revealed bumblebee numbers declined by almost a quarter (22.5%) across Great Britain💔

Oh joy. Another plane crash when I'm not a huge fan of flying and have to fly long haul to Atlanta on Sunday 🙅‍♀️🥺
Any pilots or flight experts able to put my mind at rest 😬

This is so cool - wonder when other cities will start to take note and implement similar
“On the streets of Paris, thousands of trees are being planted, the city’s distinctive grey zinc rooftops are getting a makeover and workers are installing drinking fountains that release a cooling mist.

The changes are part of the French capital’s fight against heatwaves.”

Happy Axolotl day - I had no idea they were so revered in Mexico 🇲🇽
#funfact
Axolotls have been important in Mexican culture since Aztec’s time. They’re named after the god Xolotl (monsters, fire, lightning). This amazing species is critically endangered in the wild, as it’s habitat is disappearing in Mexico City. Today is national Axolotl day! 🧪🐸🌎🇲🇽

Can't say I'm surprised. I always wanted a Tesla but I won't buy one now out of principle

I'm kinda surprised it's not less, which is a terrible thought in itself.

Still, we continue the good work and the fight for a better planet... 🌍 It's hard to stay positive though when everything feels like it's burning, literally and metaphorically 😵‍💫

A good friend sent me this book towards the end of last year - clearly recognising the risk of impending burnout. I've learned so much about the impact even minor stress can have on hormones, weight, activity levels and all round general wellbeing.
Thoroughly recommend to fellow "rushers" 📖

The Old English name for a squirrel is “acweorna” or acorn eater. Ancient Greeks named them “skíouros” meaning “shadow-tail”, perhaps because they thought they used their tails to shade themselves from the sun. This name over time evolved into the word “squirrel”. #FolkloreSunday
