When I was younger I would listen to Rush or Hannity, and joke that I was “keeping an eye on the opposition.” I would find myself yelling at the radio in the car so I stopped bc it was bad for me.
MMFA took that idea, and did it at scale, and broke the brains of some really talented journalists.

It's weird how people insisted for *years* that Dems would throw trans people under the bus for political expediency, and then this kind of thing keeps happening.
This follows the news that the minibus spending bill has no restrictions on gender-affirming care either. It looks like Democrats dug their heels in on this one and won.

The minibus spending bill is out! This is for the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026. Notably, there are no restrictions for gender-affirming care or trans care in here.

Gosh it's almost like they're trying to manipulate us into being against our own best interests by making us pre-hate Dems before anything even happens.

Now who could possibly be doing that, and who could possibly benefit from it?

The replies to this are full of people who insist that saying they should pay extra for their burrito taxi is ableism. So like… yeah, these fucking idiots aren’t boycotting any of these companies. (Also how do they plan to boycott Comcast or Motorola?)

My old office in Tucson had a couple of units rented out to cbp and the cosplay operators who showed up once a month made me, a 42 year old fat guy, look like Captain America.
When you guys run into these dipshits you gotta be shouting stuff like "hey man how come you aren't a real soldier, couldn't get that mile time under 15 minutes?" the whole reason they're joining ICE is because they're cripplingly aware of their inadequacy, hit them where it hurts
they’re also scraping the bottom of the barrel on new recruits, borderline illiterate morons who are all wildly out of shape and who are far more likely to figure out ways of shirking work than they are actually showing up on the job

People on this website need to learn that the title minority leader does not mean head of party.

Hard, hard disagree. You do not need a constitutional amendment to abolish ICE or disestablish DHS. We can do this - but not this year. A new American coalition can do it, but it'll be long after this bunch of soulless opportunists are flushed from government.
Of course, none of this is going to happen. Abolishing ICE is about as likely as fixing the electoral college.

Remains insane to me that in Iraq — in an active war — when encountering a potential hostile vehicle, we're told to wave/yell, use lights, fire warning shots at tires-engine-windshield last resort. But in Minnesota you just shoot into the driver window of a mom with your partner in the field of fire

Pathetic losers. Trump, Hannity, Machado, all of them. This idea that we’ve got to give this 80 year old baby a special prize he didn’t earn so he doesn’t get mad, my god.
Hannity: Did you at any point offered to give him the Nobel peace prize?

Machado: It hasn’t happened yet. We want to give it to him. Share it with him.

if you want the Senate to do something, Senate Republicans must do something.

People are dunking on this but I'm not really sure what plays Schumer has other than to try to peel off Rs.
Schumer: "Republicans must -- if there was ever a time, they must step up to the plate. This is the time. And if they don't, they're gonna feel the heat from their constituents."

one way you make things a bigger deal is by making people vote on it, which is what Senate Dems are doing

in fact, forcing a vote to make legislators embrace or reject admin conduct is exactly what Dems did on Epstein
IMO the argument is that you can make things into big enough deals that it matters. Khanna found Massey and found survivors and made the Epstein Files the gigantic story it should be. Only then did establishment Dems come along. You can, in fact, make things into big hairy deals if you do it right.

The problem with Ben is that he refuses to recognize this type of thread depresses Democratic turnout. Everyone at MMFA has so thoroughly stewed their brains in right wing propaganda that they can ONLY use right wing framing of democrats, even as democrats want the same things he does.

Of course this guy is a Media Matters guy.
I mean, if that's the constant refrain at some point you stop with the angry letter... but his letter about Maduro wasn't very angry.

It's a simple message: This is insane and illegal and if the people elect Democrats, we will impeach, convict, remove. Pleading with Republicans just doesn't land.
