The kids, they know what's going down. They're fighting for their actual lives. No bluster. No exaggeration.

"When asked if there was anything the premier would do beyond condemn the reported behaviour, Smith said 'It’s none of my business.'"

Sorry, but if protecting freedom of the press isn't your "business" as premier, you have no business being premier.

To paraphrase: "We aren't gonna ban books but these books are banned. But not a ban. But these are banned."

Regressive. Harmful. Out of touch. Authoritarian. And not a surprise. Ugh.

My latest in @edmontonjournal.com . The Journal of the American Medical Association recently advised Long COVID in kids may have now surpassed asthma as the leading paediatric chronic illness.

Danielle Smith's response: start charging for and limiting vaccines.

Opinion: UCP's COVID vaccine cuts put children at serious risk
A policy of ending pediatric COVID vaccination will disable, hospitalize and even kill Albertan children, leaving blood on Smith’s hands.

It’s cruel for the UCP government to put further financial burdens on Albertans who want to protect their health and their loved ones and not get COVID.

It’s dangerous, it’s callous, it’s anti-science, and it’s anti-public health.

When science meets politics, guess who usually loses?
Bill 15 takes public health decisions out of the hands of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and hands them to politicians.
It’s a recipe for disaster in the next crisis—and a reminder of why scientific independence matters.

Canada Revenue won't disclose if it is reviewing the JCCF's charity status.
Carpay needs his comeuppance. JCCF needs to lose its tax free status.
This is not scrutinized enough.
Law society panel has reserved judgment. If Carpay is not disbarred I will be surprised. LSA lawyer was very thorough and on point. It was a surgical dissection of Carpay’s behaviour

We don’t not need the government involved in this.

They are welcome to fund libraries, fund librarians and teachers to promote literacy among school aged kids.

This is not reasonable.
