That sounds like a pretty serious escalation.
Dutch air force personnel have tried to down several drones that were spotted over Volkel air base in the south of the country last night. The ministry of Defence said unspecified weapons were used and the drones disappeared. Some 20 U.S. B61 nuclear free-fall bombs are stored at Volkel air base.

"This is now about much more than specific points of one document or another.

While Vance lies to the American people, calling it "a fantasy" that victory could be close, the economic collapse that will bring down Russia if we persist, gets worse.

One Russian region has admitted it can no longer afford to pay its soldiers as @novaya_gazeta reports:

It's even worse. The US is making a profit on the war right now, and apparently they are willing to give up that in order to force through this Munich thing.

I spent a lot of last night chatting to Ukrainian friends, garnering reactions to Trump's order to surrender, & also to Zelenskyy's words in that emotional address to the nation.

Later, I'll bring some of their thoughts, but the thing they all agree on is Trump is a Russian asset.

Zelensky should not talk to Trump!
Trump has proven as ignorant as corrupt, immoral & pro-Russian.
He does nothing for Ukraine while threatening it & trying to make money on Ukraine.
Trump does not belong to any serious discussion on Ukraine.

We know enough about Trump:
1. He embraces no values but money, power & vanity.
2. Either you need to threat him effectively (China) or bribe him. $200k might be enough (Switzerland or Apple).
3. Countries with values need to gang up & pressure him.

We don’t need another delegation of European leaders flying off to Washington to kiss Trump’s ring now. We need them to get on the train to Kyiv and stand shoulder to shoulder with Zelenskyy.

🇨🇿🇺🇦 Pavel: For the peace plan to be just, it must not punish the victim or overlook crimes committed. And for it to last, it must guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty, ability to chart its own course, and decent future.

Ukrainians and Europeans need credible assurances that aggression will not return.

Actually, we, among the soldiers, look very closely to what Zelenskyy does.

We have feeling that USA is trying to push us into a “bad deal” and this time again - Zelenskyy stands up for us and represents the will of Ukraine’s soldiers.

Soldiers disapprove Witkoff’s “peace”.

Zelensky's obligation is to protect Ukraine and Ukrainians, not to please Trump-Putin.
The EU and NATO have an obligation to protect EU and NATO nations, not to please Trump-Putin.
The obligation is to protect democracy, not help further fascism, authoritarianism, genocide and evil.

Excellent analysis of 'peace plan' (in reality, more likely a plan for a renewed war in a few years, at most). The point about the US acting as a mediator between NATO & Russia reflects something I've noticed about Trump before - he often speaks of NATO as though the US weren't a member. Not good!
Some notable things in what's being called the "Trump peace plan" but which could not have been more clearly written in Moscow if it came with a 2 for 1 deal on tickets to the Bolshoi Ballet. 🧵
