Former Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's claim that closing Ukraine's airspace in 2022 would've meant full NATO-Russia war is false. NATO shooting down UNMANNED Russian aircraft in Ukrainian skies would NOT have been direct conflict with Russia and could not have triggered WW3.

1. Putin's calculus for waging war can be changed by stronger Ukrainian defence. He'll come to the negotiating table when he sees the cost of winning is too high.
2. Ukrainian victory happens on Ukrainian soil.

If Ukraine was freed to DEFEAT Russia militarily and politically IN Russia, then the war would be over. It's not like the Russian Army would keep fighting after their state collapses and their weapons and food supplies stop.... European security would be assured, too.

The EU agreeing to 15% tariffs with the US is a clear sign that Europe sees that Russia poses a genuine threat to its security, and believes the appeasing Trump will buy US security. Appeasement never works. You'd think they'd have learned that lesson with Putin by now...

So the Patriot missiles which Trump promised Europe could purchase to send to Ukraine to defend civilians and civilian infrastructure won't be available until at least spring 2026. A year away. At best. Plenty of time for Russis to destroy Ukrainian cities. This is sickening.
