Like they're not subtle about this. They've tried weird ass shit like 'gametes-based pronouns' because they actually love gender. They just don't want to be seen to love gender. And they don't want people to notice that they're a mix of plain conservative and far-right about gender.
this is no kind of response to "gender-critical" transphobia because what they do is arbitrarily allocate a bunch of gender stuff in the category "sex" and then claim that they don't care about gender.

See in the academia I know, when you see someone go out of their way to change the contents of a quote, you're supposed to interrogate the change. Yakoby changes the content quite clearly.

No transphobe answers it well. They're not asked it or they get lost in minutiae and counters.
