Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember the transgender lives lost to violence.

The Green Party stands shoulder to shoulder with transgender people in the face of increasing transphobic rhetoric in our society and politics.

These Labour MPs have shredded any pretence of principle

Posturing in opposition one minute, rolling over the next, more interested in preserving their own power than defending ordinary people - including refugees

For a party that’s abandoned its soul there is no redemption

Huffpost makes a good point - Polanski has no good earworm. Can I suggest just swapping out "Bob the Builder" for "Zack Polanski"? It works 😉

Hey Falkner @equalityhumanright.bsky.social ,

As a muslim woman, did you expect that leveraging of institutional power to legally protect your hatred of trans people would be the exact precedent used to allow hatred against YOU?

Congratulations. Your lifes legacy is a punchline.

Proposals for an impartial BBC:

- Ed Davey and Zack Polanski to have as many appearences as Nigel Farage
- Trans people to have as much airtime to talk about themselves as transphobes.
- No holocaust denier to be described as a grass roots protester
- No treating settled science as a debate topic

A converted effort is being made to shift the window of discussion in UK politics to the right. Look to America to see where this leads us.
Borderline hilarious (hollow laughter) to hear #R4today reporting on BBC bias and then immediately going to Nigel Fucking Farage for comment.

It is delightful to see Polanski not only holding true to his convictions, but also doing so in a way that respects that they are in some cases lofty. Denuclearisation is a fine goal - it might not be possible, but we should still try. 1/

If you care about the coordinated assault on trans rights and on our democracy, read this research from A Just Society.

“This is strategic, funded, coordinated litigation being used as a policy change tool”.
Who's Funding the War on Trans Inclusion?

“The stated goal of strategic litigation is rarely to win every case. It’s to make the target behaviour—in this case, implementing trans-inclusive policies—expensive, risky, and exhausting”

White poppies were first produced in 1933 by the Co-operative Women's Guild, made up largely of women who had lost loved ones in World War One. They were worried by the growing militarisation of Remembrance events and what they saw as a detachment between the red poppy and the need to work for peace

I despise ChatGPT (and other LLMs/AI chstbots) more and more with every passing day. Every time I see an em dash, or the phrasing "not just this — that", or anything similar... I start to mistrust what I'm reading. I don't believe I'm seeing the words of a person anymore. Am I right, though? 1/

As if it wasn't bad enough that the feeble justifications given in the Cass report are used to deny young people care (despite it being provided on the same evidence basis as other treatments specific to children), now the NHS is trying to ignore the commitment to continue existing treatment.
Please read this statement by Anne Health.

Trans children are being subjected by Sussex NHS to the physical torture of being forcibly detransitioned.

This is unnecessary cruelty and in my view constitutes torture, violence and child abuse on the part of NHS Sussex.

Electoral reform has never been more pressing. The Labour result alone demonstrates the mess that is FPTP, do we want to see a repeat of that in a few years?
First Past The Post has served Labour very well. 65% of the seats on 35% of the vote? Amazing! But it looks like Farage and Reform could be about to pull off the same trick. Time to wake up & put the nation before the party. If Reform win, it’ll be Labour’s fault.
