I know how much Irish people hate when people in the US, UK, or Canada talk about how they are 12% Irish, or whatever.
But everybody having some Irish heritage means one thing: Irish people have a reputation as the most prolific shaggers in history.

The mistake is to think Zelensky could have salvaged this. Trump admin just doesn’t want to support Ukraine. Period. There was also never going to be a peace agreement. That’s been clear but everyone has been pretending otherwise. There can be no confusion now.

Years ago, after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, I interviewed a former fb employee, and I remember her continually emphasizing that these tech bros weren't evil geniuses, but were, in fact, dangerous because they were utterly clueless, totally reckless, and had too much power.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the biggest challenges facing not just this government, but the next five or six Irish governments, and they are in no way prepared for it.
When climate scientists warn repeatedly: "Ireland is not ready for what's happening and worse is coming" they mean we don't have robust resilience, infrastructure, fail-safes, protocols, workflows etc for extreme heat, rain, storms, cold etc. They're right. We're not.
