If human rights need to "poll well" before you touch them then you have no true beliefs. You are a soulless husk of a human being
NEW: Democrats have used SCOTUS rulings to galvanize their base — but they won’t do that with Skrmetti, which green lit gender-affirming care bans

One Dem said it’s now a states issue

Another said trans issues don’t poll well

A third pointed me to the Cass report

Democrats Have Basically Given Up Trying to Message on Transgender Rights
“The Supreme Court has ruled,” said one House Democrat. “We’re either a party that supports the rule of law or not.”

You may be fearing your 401k is no longer enough for you to retire. But with all the cuts to NIH and Medicare you also won't live as long. So the policies are integrated.

Today was a take it out day at TSA. Wish they would decide on what we’re doing here and just stick with it.

Went to the local Democrat party fundraiser dinner. I think the room thought I was a Republican since I was sitting next to the Republican plant. That’s what I get for showing up late and having to sit at the overflow table.

Grade A, BS virtue signaling. Not everyone has the ability to just sell their car and buy another or switch to biking. Also, until recently, Tesla’s target audience was suburban liberals. You’re tagging cars of people that probably, somewhat, agree with you. **Cybertruck excluded. Tag that shit up.
They're popping up everywhere. Not much you can do right now but this is a bit of direct action that will, at the very least, make you feel good. Which you deserve.

Finally slabbed up the Scar promo and decided to take a group shot. Love the arts on them all, but I think Stitch is still the goat.

If Hell exists, it’s just an endless loop of interactions at the DMV. If the only interface people have with the government is the DMV, it’s no wonder why some people would want to burn the whole thing down.

Oust every Democrat who promises “bipartisanship.”

Every single one.
It is time to look to the future.

The challenges that face America are many and great.

The Senate must respond with resolve, bipartisanship, and fidelity to the working and middle class of this country.

Set championships today. Didn’t feel like doing a thread, so results are here:

R1: 2-0 against 🟣⚪️ - Locals player. Doesn’t play meta decks, just there for fun

R2: 0-2 against 🟡⚪️ - Playing the more aggro version of my list. Bad draws, could get off the ground before they won

Trying to do a bit more scratch cooking. Bought a pasta press for the KitchenAid. Homemade macaroni and cheese. Pretty good and fairly easy to make. Little more time intensive than Kraft though.

Trying a new pepperoni roll recipe. I think they turned out pretty well.

The Elizabeth Line this year moved more people than the 18 lanes of the 401 freeway, the widest in North America.

Traffic is simply a geometry problem, and adding one more lane won't fix it.

Airport cafe wants $18 for a premade Turkey sandwich and a coke and then asks for a tip. Prices like that should be illegal.

Heading to Chicago and then off to Morgantown for commencement. Riding in on the #Amtrak Southwest Chief. The train is the best way to travel.

In our car-centred societies people consider harms caused by cars as negligible or inevitable.

"If you light up a cigarette outside a school you will probably be surrounded by parents saying "put it out" but the same parents think nothing of idling their cars while waiting for their children."
NEW EPISODE: "How Cars Change Us with Tara Goddard." Why do people behave so badly behind the wheel of a car? Why do reporters use passive language to describe traffic violence? @drtaragoddard.bsky.social joins us to talk about her fascinating research.

This graph is stunning. Yellow are number of NYPD car chases, blue the number of people injured by those chases.

I know correlation does not always imply causation, but… man. Both those trends really change w Adams’ arrival.

This is my first year commuting by bicycle, and I wasn’t sure how I’d hold up in the winter. But now that we’re here, it’s not bad at all with the right winter weather gear.
It was 15°F/-9°C this morning as these Minneapolis elementary school kids traveled to school on their bicycles.

Bikes can and do work as transportation in the winter, especially with safe bike infrastructure and traffic calmed streets. 🚲 ❄️
