Watching Radio Canada. I wish @stevenguilbeault.bsky.social would quit the LPC and run for the NDP so I could vote for him until he retires.

You can search Duane's name and see the panel he made. And someone else made a panel for him, too.

It's World AIDS Day, which means it's time to remind everyone that Dave Grohl sucks shit.
I'll give you the short version: they sponsored & supported the most influential AIDS denialist group of the 2000's, resulting in national policies in South Africa that caused an estimated 330,000 deaths there.

They have never apologized or acknowledged what they did.

There is a man at this clinic who is in line at the reception. His phone is in speaker. And he is on hold with the clinic he is standing in. And when asked to turn off speaker he told the receptionist he was only doing it to show he’s been on hold for an hour. He is a dick.

This is not going the way I imagine Polly thought it would.
There is an extraordinary sense of entitlement behind the belief that there ought to be political party that aligns 100% with your own opinions.

This is such awesome news.
Exciting news: my union @pen-guild.bsky.social won our fight to hold management accountable for rolling out AI tools with no notice & for failing to hold the bots to the same standards all of us humans must follow — in violation of the contract they agreed to. A neutral arbiter said we were right!

I learned about this case while I attended a conference two weeks ago with WGA reps. Really great news! What Politico journalists were expected to accept was unacceptable.

Walz on calling for Trump to release MRI results: "Here we got a guy on Thanksgiving where we spent time with our families, ate, played Yahtzee. This guy is apparently in a room ranting. It's not normal behavior. It's not healthy. Has anyone in history ever had an MRI & had no idea what it was for?"

Recently, as I was doing some deep breathing exercises in the vestry to cope with some nonsense at church, someone came up to me and said "these days I have to ask God for patience, because if I ask him for strength I'll deck a bitch." and honestly? Biblical levels of wisdom there.

Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.
Ensure HIV treatment for all.

So the thing I've realized, and I guess I've been realizing for some time but resisting, is that a lot of people are just very stupid and very mean. Is it that they were always very stupid and very mean and I didn't pay attention or is it that social media makes delivering stupid and mean easier?

The four kids shot in Stockton, California were 8, 9, 14 and 21.

Why isn’t that a national tragedy?

Why doesn’t that provoke the outrage that we saw with Charlie Kirk or the National Guard shooting?

This country doesn’t care about children. They don’t care about gun violence.
