Looking forward to hosting another great #ParkChat this Wed. night, 12/3! I’ll have a topic by then, I promise.

This will be my first #ParkChat since being enshrined in the ParkChat Hall of Fame. I knew if I publicly begged for it long enough they’d let me in. That works for everyone, doesn’t it?
We are still working on our topic but this week #ParkChat welcomes Hall of Famer @btarrington.bsky.social as our special guest host. I’m certain that Todd will put together a terrific chat. Please join us. @naturetechfam.bsky.social @camarowrx.bsky.social @tthrash.bsky.social @mountainscalling.me

The biggest issue with the Reflecting Pool at the current time is the Canadian geese that constantly poop in it. That isn't the fault of Biden. So I'm wondering what disaster of an improvement these two incompetents have planned. #ParkChat

Pat: Carlson has 6 goals? I don't think he had 6 goals all last season.
Me: Oh, he did. They just didn't all count.

Q1 #ParkChat Several years ago the topic of pies came up on the chat. Inexplicably and without warning something called #PieChatBot took over our chat with 4-5 pie Qs and has never reappeared. Since then we ask this Q for #Thanksgiving: What’s your favorite pie for the holiday?

Actually, I realized that my current pass expires at the end of this month (thank you, @subaruofamerica.bsky.social). Instead of replacing it in January, I think I'm going to get my new pass NOW, so that I can replace the next pass in January 2027. #ParkChat #PublicLands #NationalParks

Today, the Interior Department rolled out one of the biggest changes to national park access and fees in years, if not decades, and it will reshape how people—both U.S. residents and international visitors—get into places like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon.
