Another RTC involving a bus and a pedestrian at Haymarket. Sadly, I'm not surprised. It's another mess of an area in Edinburgh, where fast vehicular movement is prioritised over making it a safe place...

Making it sound like it's the entire company instead of only the Leeds branch is a bit of shitty journalism.

I was so proud to be listed on Cycling UK's 100 women in cycling 2022.

Because of their recent decision to exclude transwomen from the list, I have requested my name be removed.

Transwomen are women & cruel politics has no place in the cycling spaces that I campaign and research for.

Edinburgh Council is not proposing the 'destruction of a park', it's proposing the restoration of a former railway line to meet climate targets, reduce congestion, improve air quality, provide economic opportunities, enhance mobility and reduce social inequality.

New cycle lanes are not for people who currently cycle.
They are for people who drive because it’s too dangerous to cycle.

Hello @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social , any reason pedestrians/cyclists have to wait through 6 traffic phases (c5 minutes) before we get a chance to cross London Road?

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!
There isn't any evidence that the report you make on the council website actually goes anywhere.

Can’t get enough of this! While Tokyo cuts down trees and paves over open spaces, Paris is pedestrianising the city and making it greener for everyone. This is what real climate leadership looks like. Thanks for the inspiration @annehidalgo.bsky.social !

Latest "viking" bowl from the #ShipleyAlder.

Inspired by traditional Scandinavian slöjd designs.

Finished in "tavern green" milk paint and walnut oil.

I hollow these from the "bark up" side of the log which gives the origin to the shape.

In Icelandic we have 'Ókind' for monster. But the translation is un-sheep. So everything not a sheep is dangerous.

What's the likelihood of a few extra bollards on this stretch of Inglis Green Road outside Imperial Palace and the garage @longstonecc.bsky.social ?

This is a very common occurrence.
Someone is going to get hurt here at somepoint due to drivers being predictably selfish.

Could do with few more bollards for sure.
