Rob Wittman spent the night of the shutdown eating steak with his rich donors. Meanwhile, the shutdown he and the GOP caused means soldiers and federal workers in his district will struggle to feed their families. Call his office at (202) 225-4261 and ask why.
According to the numbers, these are the 26 most vulnerable MAGA House representatives. They've spent more time defending “Dear Leader” than the Constitution, and they can be beat. We're pledging to target them all in the 2026 midterms.

3️⃣ And Texas Republicans made a show of removing language from one bill that could have ramped up the criminalization of pregnancy...

... but the language is still there in another bill, @sophienovack.bsky.social found out: a "backdoor effort" to dial up criminalization:

A good starting point for reporters, headline writers, and readers is to not take for granted the government's initial claims. Because they are probably not true.
Seeing claims about the judge "hiding" the defendant. Read the complaint, folks (written by DOJ). The guy was literally in the public area where the agents were. I guess he got on an elevator before they could get to him. The complaint says after letting the defendant exit she came back to the bench

These cases will never survive federal courts overseen by federal judges...which means at some point I'm pretty sure they're going to resort to military tribunals or kangaroo courts in soccer stadiums

This may be why Kash deleted his tweet.

He claims Dugan "intentionally misdirected federal agents" away from Eduardo Flores Ruiz.

But that's not the allegation. She allegedly directed him to leave via chambers, but didn't hide his ID.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

From 1999-2013, RFK sold his own brand of bottled water (in plastic bottles, and with a horrible carbon footprint) that contained TWO TIMES the upper limit of fluoride recommended for dental health, which is more than the safely allowable amount per US Public Health Service, and IS potentially toxic
RFK Jr used to hawk water with high levels of fluoride. Now he wants to ban it
Bottled water from RFK Jr’s company Keeper Springs contained almost double the concentration of fluoride recommended by the HHS

Important by @stevevladeck.bsky.social:

Following Monday's Supreme Court ruling, detainees held in El Salvador may still bring habeas in DC circuit:

"There is good case law to the effect that venue for a habeas petition filed by someone outside the United States is proper in the DC district court"
140. The Disturbing Myopia of Trump v. J.G.G.
In normal times, it might be possible to defend the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling on Monday vacating a pair of temporary restraining orders in the Alien Enemy Act case. But these aren't normal times.

I think the Supreme Court got the law badly wrong tonight. But beyond that, it’s just incredibly ominous that Roberts would throw Boasberg under the bus and hand Trump this big win when his administration has conducted this case in EXTREME bad faith from the start. slate.com/news-and-pol...
