Without extending an ounce of sympathy to Labour or their wretched policies, this is one of those front pages that makes so abundantly clear how the UK political system works and where power resides, because it clearly doesn't reside with the people in political office nor those who elected them.

Perhaps some Labour MP will ask the Home Secretary if gold fillings & crowns will be removed from the mouths of asylum seekers and refugees? Surely their hair could be cut off and put to good use? And if they happen to die in the UK, their skin, flesh, fat and organs will presumably not be wasted?

Jewellery is traditionally the easiest way to carry wealth. It's small, it can be worn or hidden, it can be made of solid gold. You could turn everything you had into a necklace to carry.

Imagine many refugees do this, or it represents the only part of their own wealth they could save.

Refugees.

Are you a minister? Are you unhappy? Do you hate your job or have no idea what you're doing? Would you like the entire UK progressive media to praise you for the next 72 hours and talk about you as a future leadership contender? RESIGN!

Given that the money raised from this is going to amount to loose change in the government accounts, the only reason it is being proposed is to satisfy the cruellest instincts of the worst voters and media outlets. Gutter politics
Ministers now appear to be confirming in broadcast interviews that they would audit and could confiscate assets (including jewellery) excepting wedding rings from the jewellery that they could confiscate.

How big a piece of shit would you have to be to buy the confiscated jewelry of asylum seekers at a government auction?

Look, for fuck’s sake, humans have been migrating continuously for our entire existence.

Every single human in the world is the product of migration.

It’s what humans do. There is nothing *more* human.

That’s never going to change.

Just grow up, get the fuck over it and plan accordingly.

Behind the weasel words and prevaricating euphemisms, Britain's politics of immigration are rooted in an antipathy to the presence of negatively racialised people in this country *on any terms*. If we'd confronted that reality decades ago, and faced it down, we wouldn't be where we are now.
the video goes on and on about illegal immigration and yet the new proposal will target legal migration by confirmed refugees
