If SCOTUS planned to uphold birthright citizenship, they would’ve left the lower-court rulings untouched. Taking the case is the tell. You don’t grab a 150-year precedent just to admire it. They took it because they intend to change it. Pretending otherwise is denial.

most of all, WHAT FIGHT?? The Republican Party, and to some extent the media, have accepted this idea that sitting in an unarmed boat with a shipment of cocaine in South American waters somehow constitutes the active prosecution of hostilities against the US, requiring military strikes

There is virtually no fed criminal law for wealthy people in America right now. Doesn’t exist. Trump’s DOJ either drops their charges or he pardons them. Anyone can buy their way out of prison for the right price on any charge, with crime victims left shattered with no justice.
