I can't remember where it was that I read it for the first time, but the observation that morality is a luxury for the working class, a social expectation for the middle class, and considered declase for the wealthy appears to be true here as well.

I've got an "I voted" sticker in my wallet from 2016 for someone whose emails we were told again and again were a big fucking problem by the NYT, and instead the asshole running my country into head first into authoritarianism is ALL OVER emails from a pedophile and THEY KNEW IT.

Oh, hell yes. I sincerely don't remember learning to read, but I know that my early elementary years primarily used phonics-based literacy instruction, and we did SO MUCH vocabulary work in middle and high school.

It flies under the radar because it is overwhelmed by the sheer repulsiveness of the physical destruction of the east wing, but there is no way that a president should be allowed to use private money to change public property. It circumvents the power of the purse.
