P.P.S.: See if you can spot JV level competitive depravity around the Thanksgiving table today. If you're like me, you have extended family still competing to show us all how they aren't "sheeple" and aren't "PC" (as the old folks say), and who view offending or degrading others as a badge of honor.

To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

Massive deportation always required deporting ordinary immigrants, documented and undocumented, as, yes, immigrants commit less crime than citizens.

Too bad the media failed to report on the most important policy promise.

Central to Project 2025 and to the RNC.
This is the scandal. Trump isn’t targeting dangerous people. He’s targeting peaceful immigrants. Almost exclusively.

Today in Synchronicity and the foibles of Libby the Library app:

As usual, a bunch of holds came at once. Waited a long time for Ann Patchett’s Bel Canto on audio. Requested The Correspondent (ebook) bc Ann recommended it, and just started it. 3rd letter is to Ann and mentions Bel Canto. Voila

Please watch this.

The Senate killed a bill to ban state regulation of AI by a vote of 99-1 this spring. Now the industry - eager to stay unregulated - and Trump are scheming to shove the provision in the national defense bill.

You need to know this, so you can help stop it.

Every Thanksgiving I make and Apple Pie and a Pumpkin Pie. These are Fall fruit pies and therefore the correct pie.

The best pie is Mulberry Pie, specifically baked by my grandmother with fruit from her Mulberry tree. This is a summer pie, as is peach which is almost as good.
