For a moment I thought this was about Insane Clown Posse and I was trying to wrap my brain around the concept of a mall for juggalos
Midway back to zero

The history of Disney Adventures will never not be fascinating, and you cannot tell that story without including Bone.

I was a DA subscriber from about 1992-93 to 2000 and I remember both runs of Bone VERY fondly.

This little video unexpectedly dug up VERY old memories of Teeny Little Super Guy. I remember wanting a Teeny Little Super Guy cup as a child so I could talk to him.

The animation on Sesame Street was so beautiful and so meaningful. It was truly a gift to millions of children.
Once, Sesame Street was a lifeline for indie animators. It offered money and incredible freedom to create.

This built an indie animation boom that powered MTV, Nickelodeon and much more. We explore:

You could easily see which pieces had the filling, even before you poured any milk. They'd always be thicker with a slight tint. I always found and ate those first.

The box art and ads would've had you believe otherwise, though, and I think that's where the gimmick fell apart.
Hidden Treasures (1993-1995): Crunchy, sweetened corn cereal "pockets" with a gimmick--some pieces contained a fruit filling, while some didn't (hence the name), so every spoonful was an adventure!

Anecdotal: back in the day when I edited my high school paper, someone submitted a feature about a culinary student meeting a celebrity named "Emerald Agassi."

The other editors missed it, then insisted it was correct when I questioned it, IIRC.
This was just posted by @tbretc.bsky.social on another platform. The Chicago Sun-Times obviously gets ChatGPT to write a ‘summer reads’ feature almost entirely made up of real authors but completely fake books. What are we coming to?

I like to imagine Shredder and Tatsu personally renting this warehouse, installing the skate ramps, deciding on which arcade cabinets to buy, etc.
honestly this shit would have had me joining the Foot Clan too

Heated up some lasagna and green beans for my supper tonight. Really hit the spot. Life is pretty good in this immediate moment.

We watched "Antony and Cleopatra" in 8th grade, and when this line came up, a kid in the back yelled "GELEEZ"

It was funny in context

if i was to give advice to any artist about how to stand out in their field i would say this: figure out what YOUR STORY is, not just within your chosen medium, but OUTSIDE of any medium. THAT STORY is your art, and it is infinitely cosmically unique. USE IT. EMBRACE IT. that is your power buckaroo

I tend to get obsessed with the strangest things

Like back in the mid-90s I had this bizarre fixation on Snuffy Smith comics

I should have been reading literally anything else as a 90s kid, but nope. For about 6 months I was obsessed with an illiterate 1930s hillbilly from a legacy newspaper comic

In hindsight it's probably for the best that I missed my high school reunion this year, because it would've been really weird explaining to my ex-classmates that I spend my evenings playing a green-haired emo girl on Twitch

TBT the time in the late 90s I was introduced to the game "Never Have I Ever" and I said "Never have I ever walked on the moon" and everyone looked at me funny because there were no Apollo astronauts in attendance

And one girl was all like, "IT HAS TO BE REALISTIC"
