ppl getting angry at this but he's talking alliances and he's 100% right- you cannot trust a country where every 4 yrs the foreign policy does a complete 180 & tears up treaties and reneges on deals and withholds payments because some sheep farmers in Wisconsin think too many black women have jobs

If we're lucky maybe we claw back some small-l liberalism for our daily lives. But even that might be too much to hope for.

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.

Got my first "Violating an Executive Order" and "I'll make sure you lose federal funding" parent threat today for teaching "DEI" books in our upcoming "Liberty and Justice" themed unit. Even in "Blue" Massachusetts we're dealing with this.

I keep thinking about this, and basically tech/venture capitalists decided that multiculturalism and inclusion was leading the rising managerial class (elite) to be too sympathetic to or aligned with workers here and internationally, so they embraced the far right nationalist “culture wars.”
Final thing: a venture capitalist says tech turned against the multicultural capitalism of Obama precisely bc it was starting to create a less docile/compliant/managable workforce. So, even they recognize the connections these “class-only” leftists miss.
