Maybe the way for Europe to go, is to deliberately shun harsh counter tariffs, and demonstrably do the exact opposite. Open trade. Finalise the CETA agreement with Canada. Offer Britain to rejoin. Negotiate the Mercosur-E.U treaty. Don't follow Trump's lead into Chaos, but lead the way ourselves.
