This afternoon, IWGB Game Workers joined together with unions from all over Europe, including @stjv.fr and @csvi-cgt.bsky.social to protest against Rockstar's union busting in Paris - on est là!
Protests continued today outside Take Two's offices in London, but also in Paris, where Le Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo (@stjv.fr) came out to show their international solidarity with the fired Rockstar workers.

I did it in 1:58:48!!! With the item. One of the greatest feelings of accomplishment in a game ever.

But it didn’t register or give me the trophy 😢 😢 😢
Me all day thinking about my attempt last night to get the 'Most Punctual' achievement in Baby Steps where I finished the game in 2hrs 4min and then learned the trophy is under 2hrs and carrying a specific item.

This is possibly the most fucked thing I've ever seen but also the bit at the end where the grandmother is straight up being tricked into providing training content for the app feels particularly revealing.
Nightmarish idea for a startup tbh

I went to meet the 'Rockstar 31', the developers who were suddenly fired from their work on GTA 6 for what the studio has described as gross misconduct.

That's not what the workers call it though. They have another couple of words they prefer to use: union busting.

Every live service game is a single lottery ticket, sold to investors, that costs tens or hundreds of millions of dollars and many years of labour to print
Halo Infinite will receive no further major content updates past Nov 2025, with work shifting to "multiple Halo titles in development."

Originally lauded as a title that would last 10 years, the studio formerly known as 343 Industries has seen significant upheaval since Infinite's release in 2021.

This is by Melbourne studio Torus Games that only shuttered last year.
When you go into a film-licence Game Boy title expecting not much more than the usual action-platformer fare, and it instead slaps you about the face with a first-person adventure game with light RPG elements.

Started Babushka's Glitch Dungeon last night and it's delightful. Great thread of 2025 games I'd never heard of.
There's a round of GOTY discussion going around, and I realized that a lot of my favourite games this year have been absolute Sicko Picks.

So here's a few games I've loved so far in 2025, starting with a mild one: Babushka's Glitch Dungeon. A scrunkly lil' puzzle-metroidvania with so many fun verbs
