Every day of legislative paralysis proves that Trump’s will can replace law. He is running the government by executive discretion, choosing which contracts survive, which agencies operate, and which workers get paid — while the branch meant to constrain him slides into self-inflicted irrelevance.
Trump Doesn't Ever Want the Government to Re-Open
Congress is abandoning its central function: to check the executive.

We’ve seen what happens when you embolden anti-vaccine conspiracists: long-forgotten diseases return and people get hurt.

We need leaders who understand the importance of public health and make decisions based on science, not conspiracies.

If Secretary Kennedy truly wants to restore confidence in our public health system, then he should let the science speak for itself.

In Delaware, we're a state of neighbors. This morning, we came together as a reminder that when neighbors stick together, we can get through this.

The full ruling explaining why NIH grant cuts are illegal came out today.

It's just as blistering as the judge's oral remarks. And it uncovers fresh details in DOGE's role orchestrating the cuts — and on the cuts at Columbia.

Here are my top highlights from the 103-page ruling. 🧵
After ruling the NIH grant cuts were illegal yesterday, Judge Young, a Reagan appointee on the bench since 1985, ended the hearing with a blistering 15-minute speech.

I've cleaned up my notes — here are his remarks in full. 🧵
Judge rules against NIH grant cuts — and calls them discriminatory
The decision means that the US biomedical agency has to restore funding to hundreds of research projects, but the government will likely appeal.

Democrats should introduce articles of impeachment for RFK jr
Even if it doesn’t work, which it probably won’t, democrats need to make clear that he’s not gonna get away with it
RFK Jr.‘s extreme anti-vax views — and his related conflicts of interest — were a huge problem during his confirmation process.

So he promised not to change the vaccine advisory panel.

Today, he fired every single expert on that panel. It's a public health disaster.
RFK Jr. ousts entire CDC vaccine advisory committee
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has removed every member of a scientific committee that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on how to use vaccines.
