Been a rough couple of weeks: Separating from my partner, overwhelmed with projects, teaching, and writing. I am looking for a new apartment, while simultaneously trying to prepare for a stint in Berlin.

Thank you Emily Wilder at the Jewish Currents for this great article about Project Shema! They led a workshop at UBC and it went under the radar. Many institutions in Canada are trying to use them as antisemitism awareness trainings.
Project Shema—which uses progressive language in its trainings while emphasizing the importance of Zionism to Jews—has caught the eye of university administrators balancing demands from protestors, pro-Israel groups, and Trump. Emily Wilder reports:

Finished doing my patriotic duty and submitted my US taxes. Even though, I don’t live in the US and haven’t in 7 years, don’t have income from that bloody country, nor even have a US bank account.
Since I am a citizen, I enjoy the privilege of submitting taxes though the US does nothing for me.
