Ottawa: a talk was given to a really engaged audience, a PhD on chemsex was examined, great food and cocktails were had, friends old and new were met, and came back to Europe with a page of Jean Cocteau’s 1923 Dessins, and two C-prints of Eve Fowler’s series Hustlers (1993-1998). 🥵🥵

Amazing stuff! #UCU members, please vote for @markpendleton.bsky.social and @suzitoole.bsky.social for the joint HE and FE VP roles, and the other amazing candidates on the slate. We can do this!
From this Friday, #ucu members will receive ballot papers for this year’s elections. I am running for election as Vice-President (Higher Education), to become President in 2029–30. Read why below and at ucucommons.org/mark4vp/

I also support @suzitoole.bsky.social for VP (Further Education).

This was first delivered last year to someone not at my old Exeter address but on the same street. They looked me up and called the Uni of Exeter, my previous employer, to tell them they had a parcel for me. Exeter then contacted me and I got an ex-colleague to pick it up & post it to me in Sweden.🤣
