Conditions on Congressional aid to your fellow Americans but not on Congressional aid to foreign Israelis.

Really bold play to pass legislation that means all future legislation has to broadly vibe with your own party's agenda.

Trump EPA pick Lee Zeldin was reportedly paid tens of thousands of dollars by secret clients to write op-eds spreading climate denial propaganda.

Zeldin's benefactors could yield big returns if he guts environmental protections.

The conflicts of interest are just so blatant.
Trump's pick to lead EPA was paid tens of thousands to write op-eds criticizing climate policies and ESG
Former Rep. Lee Zeldin made nearly $200,000 from paid speeches and op-eds in recent years. Some of those op-eds were on climate-related topics.

Phew, two more data releases to go. Next up: Stats NZ stocks/flows series.
Just 3 graphs to share ahead of the full MSD data in 12 days.
We're seeing around 95,000 people per year becoming primarily dependent on benefits vs 75,000 exiting that status. Errrm, that's why it's going up. [1/3]

Massive news in the end of November banking data...
Monthly interest payments on mortgages actually went down! A full -0.18% reduction month-on-month or a whopping $3m off the $1.95 billion monthly interest bill. Praise be. [🧵1/n]

You love to see it. Hydro storage in NZ is near its nominal maximum. Average renewable percentage for the last week is 96 percent. Right now, we're generating more power from solar than from gas.

Groundswell are proving to be as out of touch as their favoured leaders.

These guys should be helping their communities after floods, but are more interested in a lame ego fuelled stunt.

In the same week we hear about record profits from Fonterra, we get record whines from these guys. Get a grip
