the transfer to El Salvador of US deportees is, per Pres Bukele, a straight up contract that has “nothing to do w/foreign policy.” The fees we are paying makes their entire prison system “sustainable.” Don’t see how US can make argument that bringing A-G back is some sensitive foreign policy matter

I hate this about a Republican presidency. I don’t want to have to know how bonds work, what ideological biases a circuit judge has, what the removal process for federal workers is. I want a Democratic president where I can debate whether it’s lame to play Pokémon Go on business trip.

I do not think it is a coincidence that Trump and Karoline Leavitt are both floating the “US Citizens sent to El Salvador” a few days after massive, distributed anti-Trump protests.

It is a threat, and we need to be louder and angrier than ever before on behalf of everyone who has been sent.

Yup! If you tell someone who feels fired up after attending a protest that what they did was meaningless and worthless you are only helping demoralize folks.
