Gimme a min I’m new here.
This year is 50. Pretty sure I peaked early. Chronically kaput. Lego. Crochet a bit. Lots of plants. Sew a bit. Read a bit. I mom and wife and try to advocate.

My fishbone cactus bloomed for the first time! The bud it sprang from was very funky looking but I didn’t get a picture of that stage.

Sitting here breathing in the trees and mid morning sun. A squirrel is on a branch several meters away just absolutely going OFF. I feel you, squirrel. I see you, hear you and feel you.

Pretty much.
I find I can’t muster a proper response to either the Tylenol madness or the U.N. appearance. At some point it is just too ridiculous. It would feel insane to offer sane commentary.

I was not aware that I needed to have an outfit prepared for the rapture.

A dear friend gave me this cute lil hanging pot fella. Prob wouldn’t be great for a live plant so I’m crocheting one of yarn instead. Need to add a few more on top, I think. 🧶

The mental health benefits of not knowing any history right now must be massive. Moving through your day with total equanimity. What happens next? Who knows? Maybe something good

Last year we sold 5x more advent calendars than we have this August. Advent calendars are the biggest thing that keep the lights on at Skype a Scientist so this makes me a bit nervous!

These calendars are bright and cute and are full of really fun information about eels!

Last night at a dream come true event for my youngest (MCR concert), my oldest took off his shoes for the whole show so my youngest could stand on them and have another inch or two of height to see better. My mama heart nearly exploded.

I’ve never really been drawn to the Amish lifestyle but watching AI steamroll through everything right now makes me want to do like they did and pause any further technological advances in my life. I see the logic. I’d shoot for maybe like 2018.
