Dad, husband, CFO and Company-builder. Go Bills!
Perfect example of why politics are so broken right now- money. Can’t get much clearer…
Honestly, this made me laugh out loud (maybe it was more of a horrified cynical rattle). Points for honesty!

How long until Elon joins the fray? Maybe he declares for Mayor of NYC and funds his campaign himself? Don Jr? At this point, nothing will surprise me…
Bill Ackman says he and the oligarchs are willing to spend a fortune to back an independent candidate to jump into the NYC mayor’s race to defeat Mamdani.

Talk about trying to treat a symptom and not a root cause…I just don’t understand how Target continues to miss so badly on this.

Thank you! More of this please! I love the positive message coming from the platform. More people with a platform need to use it! We need more to speak up!
Dodgers utilityman Kiké Hernández took to Instagram on Saturday to express his support for immigrants and decry the recent militarized raids in the city by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Ok now this is what we’ve been asking for. Take the damn fight to them, Gavin.
I prefer salty Newsom to podcast Newsom

Wait- why doesn’t he just invite Homan into his podcast? Isn’t that the solve? He invited Bannon, Kirk….I thought the podcast was going to solve everything…
Newsom: "Arrest me. Let's just get it over with, tough guy. I don't give a damn ... Tom, arrest me. Let's go."

At this point, seeing how Columbia has been treated “post settlement” and how the courts have clearly sided in every instance with law firms and schools, to be “negotiating” sounds like something that could backfire big time…what are you avoiding? There is a clear red line being drawn and defended

Thanks for sharing and very helpful. Thinking of the subtraction of imports as essentially just the adjustment of all other items for “product” produced elsewhere

So I guess this happened earlier than even JPM expected, eh @profgalloway.com?

Thank you, @marcelias.bsky.social
Once you “break the seal” on rule of law, who will trust to do business with gov’t? Think about the number of non-profits, scientists and grant recipients that will never trust a contract from the US gov’t again. Add in countries that already signed trade deals…
I am not often quoted in @nytimes.com DealBook, but I hope the business community is listening.

The rest of the world is prepared to take advantage of our feckless, idiotic, and myopic government led by unqualified right-wing TV hosts and social media influencers as Trump ushers in a new era of American mediocrity.

@profgalloway.com @karaswisher.bsky.social Great topic for next @pivotpod.bsky.social ! Also, Kara, I traded my Model Y I got from pre-order in 2020 for the new VW ID.4 and LOVE it

Agreed. It is so absurd the number of people with ridiculous power and the potential to get something done just sitting on hands and waiting for “someone else.” Everyone will remember those figures that SHOULD have done more- and they will have to live with it for the rest of their lives…
This one student, Mohsen Madhawi, has more courage than the entire Republican Party, billionaires, media personalities, powerful law firms, and corporate institutions who all bent the knee to Trump.
BREAKING: Palestinian activist and Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi walks out of ICE detention after a Vermont judge ordered his release.

"I am saying it clear and loud to President Trump and his Cabinet: I am not afraid of you," he said.

It shows you how stuck in their ways the old guard truly is. They cannot understand that the rules have changed and they need to change as well…
It will be a minor note in the history of all this but the utter inability of Schumer to understand what's happening and to respond appropriately is historically bad in its own way
Schumer on the Democratic response to Trump's shakedown of Harvard: "We sent him a very strong letter just the other day asking eight very strong questions."

Paralysis due to uncertainty is leading to recession certainty…
Oh, this is not good. #EconSky
JPMORGAN: “.. expectations for overall business activity continue to deteriorate. Notably, expectations for capital spending six months forward are sliding, consistent with the thesis that policy uncertainty is making it difficult to impossible for businesses to make plans ..”

There are a lot of critiques of LLMs that I agree with but "they suck and aren't useful" doesn't really hold water.

I understand people not using them because of social, economic, and environmental concerns. And I also understand people using them because they can be very useful.

Thoughts?

100% my feeling as well. Fix the gun problem before taking away something that can be used to save lives….I totally understand for educational purposes, but I have 2 kids in school that had an active shooter alert go off. Only reason we knew was our son calling us as they ran down the street.

Completely agree with this point. If we won’t stand up to protect freedoms for everyone in this country, what is this country? Sick of the “it’s a distraction” argument. Really? Disappearing people is a distraction? Maybe for those not impacted, but its pretty important to those it could impact
This'll be in my newsletter today, but I talked w Conor Lamb after one of his Indivisible town halls and thought he had a good answer to the "should Dems talk about this deportation stuff" question.

Honestly, great decision to trade in my Model Y. Bought another electric and will never buy a Tesla again. Initially I was sad about the company, but it is made up of people continuing to support what is going on in our country- actions must have consequences for all for there to be world order
(Inside EV’s) — Tesla is in the midst of a customer exodus. According to new data from Edmunds, folks are leaving the fleet faster than ever, with trade-ins up 250% year-over-year in Q1 2025.
