Today marks seven years since I moved to California.
I wanted to celebrate, but when I heard the news this morning, it took all the wind out of my sails.
Now I'm just gonna bunker down and watch Parks and Rec to try and drown out the people that are ALREADY setting off fireworks.

This...the costs of merch and printing- especially if you're getting items produced from overseas, are gonna go up if tariffs are placed on imports- which is going to force creators to increase their costs.
Cons might implode if everyone is increasing their prices.

This is something to keep an eye on, if you’re an indie artist or like to buy from us. Our costs are going to go up. Our suppliers are already warning us that they’re going to raise their prices. A lot of us just ate the last batch of price increases after Covid/Trump1. We can’t do it again.
lol with tariffs I expect the indie fandom/original merch market in the US web/con scene to evaporate.
I already operate on such slim margins cause I didn’t want to raise my prices too much over pandemic but if the costs of charms goes up exponentially I’ll just quit that kind of art ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
