Infant botulism as of 11/14: 23 cases, 8 newly identified. All consumed ByHeart baby formula, now recalled.

Sadly ByHeart’s initial recall was limited to just 2 Lot numbers, this may have contributed to additional illnesses.

TLDR: Stop using any ByHeart Whole Nutrition infant formula immediately!

The year I turned 16 - I don't know that there were any PERFECT albums that year, but it was the year that the Tragically Hip released Fully Completely, and that was pretty good. Also, the year that the Bare Naked Ladies release Gordon, and that was also pretty good.
What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

So, my eldest has requested music for Christmas. Specifically, she has asked me for "Dad Rock" and "whatever genre The Mountain Goats are." So, I'll be buying her some Mountain Goats, but I'm not sure what constitutes Dad Rock...

Legal citizenship should be virtually effortless to obtain and near instantaneous to process, and should be paired with sweeping grants of asylum.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I mean, @ltimonin.bsky.social and I met (and subsequently got married) because we had both read Elizabeth Moon's Paksenarion trilogy.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

Hey #ttrpg dice makers.

I'm looking for a set of dice for the Genesys system, formerly from Fantasy Flight. Every set I've found on Etsy is 3d printed, not cast - or it's a sealed set for $100, which seems excessive. Is it possible to make a set for less than $100?

See, the way that we "work collectively" is by electing people to represent us. Other ways of "working collectively" tend to be more chaotic, and involve guillotines.
I was at an event yesterday where Rand Paul spoke via video and talked about how great it was to send ACA money "directly to the people" so that they could work collectively to get better deals on health care.

Listen, I'd love to say something gourmet, like a really high end whiskey advent calendar, or a properly fancy cheese advent calendar (with a full 24 options, not 12, or 6 choices repeated across 24 boxes). But, if I'm honest, I'm buying a dice advent calendar - but with FANCY dice!
everything is bonkers right now and we need a timeline cleanse. let’s play a game. if I handed you a blank check but you could ONLY spend it on an Advent calendar, what absurdly pricy collection of little treats are you buying yourself?

Good morning! It's chilly and damp in Ithaca today, and a little foggy! A good day to visit #IthacaFarmersMarket and buy leather! If sales today are not better than last week, this will be our last Sunday for the year, so come out today if you want to see us!

So, I was thinking about this show a month ago - I saw the first couple of episodes, but bounced off. But, I found it on one of the free streaming services, so maybe I'll give it a watch now.
On this day in 1992, The Odyssey premiered on CBC. The show was ahead of its time, with both adults and children enjoying its deep and complex storyline. Acclaimed for much of its run, it won a Gemini.

This! This is what we mean when we say "give us something to vote FOR, not just to vote AGAINST!"
I really don’t understand why it’s so hard for certain people to understand that Mamdani is doing so well because he is advocating for more than “keep Trump from taking the few good and/or semi-decent things that remain” and is articulating a real vision for how to make New York better.

What Mike said.

I used to work for Feeding America.
Another bonus to donating money is they can buy things they can’t have donated, like milk.
Find your local food bank here.

Donating food is great, but donating money is better if you can. That way they can purchase in bulk (cheaper that way), buy what is most needed, and save time sorting/ inspecting.

Good morning #IthacaFarmersMarket! We're all set up, and ready for Halloween which was last week, but whatever. I'm in costume, AND we have pumpkin bags to go with the acorns.

It's supposed to be sunny but chilly today, so get your coffee and burritos!
