This is getting fewer headlines than it should. After coming to power promising to help working people, the president is revealing his real priorities by actively making it easier for banks to rip people off.

Trump's tariffs are designed for maximum damage—to America
President Donald Trump touted his bewildering array of "Liberation Day" import tariffs as carefully calibrated to offset trade partners' tariff, nontariff, and currency barriers to US exports. However...

Trump’s new tariffs are an abomination. It’s not just the economics that is backwards. It’s also the geopolitics/national security angle. Countries have always used trade for geopolitical reasons. But it’s by opening your market to other nations that you get them to align with you, not by closing.

As you watch Trump berate and put his hand on Zelenskyy just ask yourself one simple question: could you ever imagine him speaking to Putin like this?
BREAKING: There has just been a huge argument between Zelenskyy, Trump & Vance in the Oval Office.

Trump calls Zelenskyy disrespectful and says he “is no position to dictate” to the US.

Trump raises his voice to Zelenskyy. He can’t stand someone standing up to him.

This is unbelievable.

So Kemi Badenoch appeared on this podcast last week. And here they are arguing the toss over whether Rishi Sunak could possibly be English. We used to - rightly - judge Jeremy Corbyn by the company he keeps. We should do the same with Badenoch.
Fraser Nelson arguing that Rishi Sunak is English, while podcast host Konstantin Kisin responds incredulously.

[Kisin has previously described himself as a 'centrist', which is a bad joke.]
