My Shinobi hot take is that most fans ignore the PS2 game which, while being very arcade-y, was still going into a character action game direction. There have been so many takes on the IP, but people only cling to their favorite one as the correct one. They're all good in their own way.

@clydemandelin.bsky.social I have a request to examine a translation, please -- the PC-98 version of Space Quest IV: Roger & The Time Rippers. The original game was known for often being sarcastic and rude to the player, so I'd love to know how they handled that, if at all. Thanks!
