Why did @steveinskeep.bsky.social interview Sen. Hassan on @npr.org about the new deal and allow her to filibuster? He asked what Dems accomplished during the shutdown; she said a lot of things that didn't answer the question; and he just moved on. He never even bothered to point out her evasion.

Democrats are doing this from a position of *strength*. What would be the point of voting to give them a majority if this is how they use power.
Trump is as weak as he's ever been while in office, and as the political losses continue to mount in the coming weeks (they will!), that will present an Republicans in Congress with political space to start forcefully pushing back. It will be very revealing if they actually take that step.
