Biden didn’t “give Trump a precedent” in any meaningful sense because Trump doesn’t factor precedential legitimacy into his decision-making in the first place. Trump was never looking for the imprimatur of presidential history to sanction his actions.
So President Biden has pardoned his son Hunter - and given Trump a precedent that certainly won't be abused.

The true question is whether the court of public opinion will have any sway on the Senate confirmation of Trump’s #Cabinet appointment picks. While I am inclined to say no, we’ve yet to witness the hearings. There are a couple I look forward to watching: Hegseth, Kennedy, and McMahon, to name a few.

Yes. This. Each time I post about the hypocrisy I'm getting these kinds of cynical responses, and really, stop it. I get that everyone copes in their own way, but don't pre-give in. Fight for your actual rights. Call out the hypocrisy. Not to convince them, but to remind everyone else.
Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.
