Carney -- yes, negative politics make it hard to recruit women. And we defend abortion always. But I'm worried about using S33 after SCC decisions, that will eliminate the rights of Canadians. And M. PP proposes doing this for sentencing. If we start with that, abortion could follow.

Everyone wondering how on earth the United States could fall to fascism so quickly can find the answer in how many general strikes have been called since Trump was elected.

People are changing the labels on Wayne G's wine: "a merlot that is sad and 2 faced" "as weak as the name-sakes moral fibre."
There is a reason why Canadians dominate comedy - we are wickedly funny.
And when push comes to shove we play for keeps
(ie. Kharmalov's ankle).
Sucks to be you Wayne.

Folks, I need you all to know that Doug Ford is trying to dismantle our health care system, wants to bring back the death penalty, close down safe consumption sites, rent to be unaffordable, and for homeless people to die.

Really cannot with the praise. He's a sentient anus.

I have spent my life fighting for peace.
The "peace" offered by the PUTIN/MAGA gang is a lie.
Peace is not surrender.
Peace is not bending in the face of violence.
Peace is the right of people to live their lives without intimidation or occupation.

Doug Ford is going to round up all thee homeless people and imprison them in prisons built by his friends, then he is going to round up addicts and imprison them in addiction centres built by his friends. Then he is going to tunnel under 401 for 200B dollars. That’s what just happened.

80% of crimes are driven by poverty, if the people weren't poor they wouldn't commit the crime.

Billionaires are the biggest cause of poverty.

Therefore billionaires cause 80% of crime.

A fact I think that Canadians need to wrestle with is this: Is Canadian sovereignty up for debate is a question that is firmly closed for the vast majority of Canadians and firmly open for the vast majority of our institutional leaders.

Me neither

Because it's not

Don't believe trolls who tell you it is

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower

Here's my take on the Foreign Interference report.
In 2019 I called Cambridge Analytica whistleblower Christopher Wylie to testify to parliament on online electoral interference.
The threats are much higher now.
We are totally unprepared for what is coming.

All prison labour is inherently problematic as it is exploitative; however, this might just take the cake. Even more so if you consider the makeup is largely BIPOC folx who are both disproportionately represented within the prison system and largely receive longer sentences than white counterparts.

Facebook is a social cancer. Our governments should be targeting it with much stricter regulation to make it abide by our norms and values — or have it leave our markets entirely.

The days of Mark Zuckerberg shaping discourse and controlling communication must end.
