True as well for democracies all around the world and their far right issues.
But let’s be 100% clear: White people are the only demographic responsible for Donald Trump. If even half of white people had their shit together we would not be here. Half.
I think both that the polling is bad and reaching very specific people and it’s catching a fragment of a very real problem, which is that when you don’t fight authoritarianism, there are people who will prioritize being on the winning side above anything else

They're really going to try to pin all the blame for the incineration of Gaza on Netanyahu so that nothing has to change when this is over. The western empire has chosen a single scapegoat to carry away its sins so the status quo can march on unhindered by guilt or consequence.

World Central Kitchen brought essential food aid on the first boat to land in Gaza in nearly 20 years this week. Unlike certain other efforts, the food they're delivering is arriving safely & is culturally & religiously appropriate. If you've got funds to donate, they will use them well.
World Central Kitchen | Operation Safeena: WCK aid boat offloads in Gaza
World Central Kitchen’s team in Gaza is offloading 200 tons of desperately needed food that arrived on our first maritime aid shipment to the region. Carried on the Open Arms vessel, the cargo is part of Operation Safeena, our effort to bring as much aid as possible to Palestinians by sea. We have provided more than 37 million meals to families in war-torn Gaza by land and air since first responding to the conflict. The opening of this maritime corridor will allow us to provide millions more meals.

Trump’s going to say we need a “final solution” to the border tomorrow and by evening every fucking centrist media figure will be scolding us for assuming he means anything other than benign immigration reform.

One of the problems with American education is that almost everyone spends a significant amount of time learning what a rhombus is, but few are taught how easily a country can slip into fascism.

My most boomer take is that youth sports are important mostly because it's better to learn how to deal with the crushing despair of defeat at age 8 than it is to never face adversity until you're an adult.

'In the weeks after the robocalls, the FCC unanimously adopted a ruling clarifying that generating a voice with AI for a robocall is illegal.'

Cool so like...how are we identifying and enforcing this? You clowns can't even keep regular robocalls off my phone.
'The January robocall incident is one of the first known major uses of AI to interfere with a U.S. presidential election and showcases the disruptive, sweeping powers of AI: Nearly anyone can use it to sow chaos and confusion.'

This is going to be a fun year.

imagine most have already figured this out but a “deportation campaign” is a skeleton key to effectively eradicate the rights of all citizens regardless of nationalization status, persecute any variety of political or economic subversives, with no legal recourses or protections due to pardons & QI
Donald Trump is explicitly running on a promise to stage the "Largest Deportation Operation in History." The only question he has for his supporters is "Should every illegal be DEPORTED?"
