Today, 33% of all the electricity used in Oregon is attributed to data centers.

In Virginia, it’s 37%.

they didn't do this when democratic lawmakers were targeted by a gunman. the mainstream media barely peeped when a Kyle Rittenhouse fan did a mass shooting at a Portland protest. Democrats and the mainstream media are just terrified of conservatives to the point where no one else's lives matter

Someone shot up my kid's school today, and our governor is paying tribute to a guy who thought that is an acceptable price to pay for having the Second Amendment.

Jared Polis has failed Colorado.

if charlie kirk didn't get shot the right wing would be equally and as consequentially as mad about a tv commercial or restaurant logo or something else, they're gonna do what they're gonna do regardless

Palestine.
Action
must be taken."
My aim is to highlight the absurdity of the government dictating what can and cannot be said by peace-seeking people

The government's benefits cuts, two-child cap and freeze in Local Housing Allowance are all *false economies*. They don't save money. They merely push spending into different parts of the budget, while causing untold suffering.
Cruel, perfomative and pointless.

NYU has closed off every space for student protest, thereby criminalizing the very act of dissent on campus, bowing down to Trump. Today, student activists organized a “Melt ICE” rally protesting sadistic deportations by federal ghouls. In response, NYU reinforced cops & checkpoints. Disgusting!

"The alliance of labor and socialism is the outstanding fact of history of unionism in Milwaukee. Though Socialism achieved notable success in other cities, nowhere was its relationship with labor as strong and enduring as in Milwaukee."

In the case of lurching authoritarianism, liberals set up a lob pitch for fascists/conservatives to nail a home run of hatred & violence. The Red Scare started under Harry Truman, but the right didn't find his purge sufficient, so McCarthy took over the mechanisms he set up to expand the drag net.
"Abolish ICE" sounded like a radical demand to Democrats, though ICE itself only dates to 2003.

Today, it should be clear to even the most deluded liberals that if you establish institutions for the sole purpose of brutalizing people, authoritarians will inevitably use them to consolidate power.

old great aunt prove her citizenship to vote in rural georgia, this definitely isn’t reminiscent of anything in the american past
🧵 There are a lot of misleading claims out there about the SAVE Act. Let me set the record straight: I voted for the SAVE Act for the simple reason that American elections are for Americans. Requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote is common sense.

This is a great point. For example, when I look back at the epochal changes of this past January, I would personally have voted not to confirm Marco Rubio
We often look back on the seminal moments in our history and wonder "What would I have done?"

This is our moment. This is our time.

We must stand up. We must speak out. We must do everything we can to stop a President who has every intention of destroying our democracy.
